Djebbour: “Algeria will play most difficult match against Rwanda”

Algeria’s Rafik Djebbour said playing against Rwanda will be the most difficult match because it is the first one of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, and “it comes after long absence.”

  • “Usually, African matches are played in hot and humid weather while Rwanda has a soft weather which is similar to that of Algeria,” Djebbour said.
  • AEK Athens’ striker highlighted the strength of Zambian players who “play good football” especially in home matches.
  • Speaking about Algeria vs Rwanda match due to take place on Saturday, Djebbour said every player must be prepared well in his team. “There must be cohesion and appropriate tactic.”
  • “Every player must be psychologically prepared in his team,” he added.
  • Rwanda will face Algeria, Egypt and Zambia in Group C of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
  • “I will surprise you if I say Algeria vs Egypt match will be the easiest one because both team’s ways of playing are similar. Thus, the most motivated team will win the match,” he said in an interview posted on a sportive website.
  • He also said he believes in the Algerian team’s chances to reach the World Cup. “Qualifiers are played in six matches. The Algerian team can afford that after it became strong.”
